The Leather
Full-grain, vegetable-tanned cow leather, imported from Italy. Since it’s been treated only with natural tannins and fats, the variety of colour is somewhat limited. However, this treatment allows the leather to develop a patina with time and, hopefully, write a unique story with its owner. The colours of leather and thread are the client’s choice, depending on availability.
The Work
I find beauty in things that are simple, useful, and strong. I use the highest quality materials and tools I can find. All products are handmade. Stitches are done with Ritza Tiger threads. Products are treated to Fiebing’s mink oil and beeswax conditioner, which should be reapplied once a year or so for good measure. Edges are finished against fraying with Tokonole or Fiebing’s gum tragacanth.
